I’m officially a Twisted Sister now!

The lovely Anam at http://www.twistedsketches.comhas added a weekly card sketch challenge to her site beginning in April 2010. (Can you believe that’s just next week!!??!!) And I have the high honor of being chosen as a member of the Design Team for this new endeavor. I am excited to begin this journey. Please be sure to check out the blog post at http://www.twistedsketches.com/2010/03/welcome-the-twisted-cards-team.htmlto see all of the fabulous cards made by the very talented ladies chosen for the design team and the sketch we started out with.  The twist was “transparent”. Then stop by each week to play the card challenge sketches on Saturdays and the scrapbooking layout challenge sketches on Wednesday. Each comes with a little twist and it is always fun to see everyone’s interpretation! Hope to see you there! Happy Crafting, Paula

For my card, I used an overhead transparency for the base.  I trimmed it to 5.5 x 8.5  inches.  Using the script embossing folder, I inked up the raised portion (the “back”) using Chestnut Roan Chalk ink, layered it with my transparency and ran that thru the Cuttlebug.  This embossed and added the color to the script.  The inner layer is trimmed from Amanda Blu papers.  The lovely blossom is a Prima Daisy Doodle.  The sentiment is on vellum and then layered to a scrap of the AB papers to make it stand out.  Add a couple of layers of lacy ruffles & there you have it.  Guess I might have to give it to Dad or DH for a “get out of trouble” free card, huh?
