Vintage Sister gift tin

Exterior view--Altered Altoid Tin

I created this for a vintage sister swap from an Altoid tin. She’s a world traveller about to embark on a big adventure. I hope the recipient likes it. I’m not sure how she might use it but I am going to make one for me to carry my extra batteries and memory cards in. ;). I started with the Altoid tin—open and give a gentle tug straight up and the lid will come off. I spray painted the outside gold. Using my cuttlebug and a script embossing folder, I embossed the purple cardstock for the outside, tore for a deckle edge and distressed with an Adirondack Eggplant ink pad. Using modge podge, attach it to the tin. Add a gold doily as desired around the edges. The larger elements are from TPC Studio–Classic Icons–Clear stamps throughout, except the airplane (interior) which is from K&Company, Que Sera Sera rubber stamps. The small images are Limited Edition Rubberstamps–Little Ladies or Vintage Europe sets. All are stamped on Georgia Pacific white cardstock with Ranger Archival Black ink. These were cut out and adhered with ModgePodge with color added where needed with Bic Markers. The black and green die cuts are Cuttlebug also. The interior backgrounds are Victorian embossing folder from Cuttlebug and then sprayed liberally with Periwinkle glimmermist from Tattered Angels. The rhinestone trim is from Wrights and adhered with a double stick tape. Happy Crafting!  Paula

P.S. Be sure when you place the top back on, that you gently bend the tabs back in to hold the top on ;).
