Twisted Sketches Card Sketch #36

Twisted Sketches Card Sketch #36

Time for another Twisted Sketches challenge. Card #36 and the twist is “alphabet”. Find the fabulous sketch at and you’re gonna want to bookmark that site because the coming sketches just keep getting better and better!
I started with Recollections cardstock and trimmed it to 7.5″ by 11″ for my base. That’s DCWV paper again from the Homemade Christmas stack. Then, using American Crafts metallic green cardstock, I embossed using Cuttlebug embossing folders (Joy & Cheer up top, Season’s Greetings below) and trimmed them around the middle to make sure the Peace phrases showed. Then I used a paper napkin to buff the embossed elements, that removed some of the green color and let the silver shine through. (Fine sandpaper would work too if used gently and remove more of the color. Or you could ink over the raised spots like you’ve seen me use before. And I’m wondering what will happen when I use Alcohol Ink blending solution???? hmmm). The stamp is Stampabilities, stamped with Forest Green Stazon ink, on white cardstock then die cut with those Spellbinders Large Deckled Rectangles that I am LOVING, can you tell? This is the second largest size and, it’s ATC dimensions :). Edge this with the edge of the ink pad and adhere midway. The white dove is a Martha Stewart punch and the little cherub is a Marvy Uchida punch, both with white Georgia Pacific cardstock. Added those Sandy Lion Essentials poinsettia stickers and VOILA’! One great sketch with loads of possibilities and I’ve tossed out some ideas for playing with this one. Would love your feedback and to see what you come up with! Give it a whirl and give us your link at so we can have a look-see.
It’s another Smeared and Smudged Christmas day tomorrow. See ya there! Happy Crafting! Stay warm and safe. Twenty one days and counting. P
