Thanks for stopping by and all the lovely comments. Today I have a 4×4 in canvas fireplace. I used white cardstock in the Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder, then inked the raised edges with Whispers Dye Ink in Rich Plum followed by Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drops in Red Brick, Jumbo Java, and Gingerbread inks and trimmed to a fireplace shape. Under that I placed a cardstock that had been smudged with VersaMagic Pumpkin Spice, Gingerbread and Jumbo Java with just a hint of the Red Brick, then embossed with the same folder. Attach that to the canvas. Add some real tree bark bits (can you tell I’ve never laid a fire?). Trim that embossed image to fit and make a mantle from the scrap & color it up. Use pop dots to add the facade of the fireplace. The stamps are Inkadinkado clear in a Christmas set stamped with Stazon Forest Green and Royal Purple. Trim those out and attach. Hope you like it! Happy Crafting, Paula

Like you said, “Great minds think alike!” lol Love the back of your fireplace! Didn’t think about running mine through the texture fade until after I starting gluing the logs down. Fabulous idea using bark for the logs, wish I had thought of it! lol
